🚐 Founded in 2018, Dr. DeAngel Mobile Dental Van is a non-profit organisation that provides free oral health services to low-income and homeless individuals. 💌 Our mission is to bring confidence through a smile - provide free oral health services and give hope for a better life change. For many people that don’t have access to the most basic oral health care today, such support means a lot - gaining back confidence, improving well-being, preparing for challenging steps and making employment achievements and, as a result, having an improved quality of life. 👨🏻💻Idea and Founders: Dr. DeAngel was founded by two socially active friends residing in California - Sarmen Yeghikian and Milad Fazlali. The idea was born in October 2018 and here is why: "With estimated 53,1951 people experiencing homelessness only in LA in 2018, the shockingly increasing new numbers of those who will be experiencing it for the first time and the discussions, stress and tensions around the social-economic problem and crisis made it unbearably painful to indifferently or passively watch-by". Being primarily born in the form of a dream in LA, the powerful resource our team values the most, Dr.DeAngel is delighted by the vision to start its first route in California. ⚕️How we do it? - Dr.DeAngel is a fully equipped van with modern dental equipment, access ramp for wheelchairs, professional dentists on board offering comprehensive dental care. - The first Dr.DeAngel mobile dental van is going to visit areas across California in 2019 and provide free dental care to underprivileged populations. - The service is completely free to the consumers. - Dr.DeAngel plans to raise money via crowdfunding and grant programmes -Funding Goals: 400K USD from first crowdfunding to cover expenses on the first van and operational management within the first year.
