About Dr. Ronit Mor-Cohen. Yoga. Watsu. Genetics
I'm a PhD biological scientist in the field of genetics, cancer and thrombosis with more than twenty years experience in research, Lab management and scientific lecturing. One of the key insights in my scientific work is that we have the ability to beat our own genetics and significantly affect our health by reducing stress and anxiety. People whose genetics are "bad" should not give up, on the contrary! I felt that these insights must be translated into practice so in addition to my scientific work, I chose to study and engage in two fields that focus on reducing stress and improving health of the body and mind: yoga instruction and Watsu therapy. I'm a certified Watsu therapist and Yoga and Aerial yoga teacher and I use my extensive knowledge in the fields of human biology and physiology to improve the genetics and health of my trainees. In addition I give lectures about genetics to the general public in which I emphasize the effect of reducing stress on our genetics and on our physical and mental health.
