About Dr. Xue's Math School

We are a dedicated math school with Dr. Xue as an advisor and mentor, supporting many students at various stages of their studies. We believe that math should be fun and engaging, and students should be challenged at an appropriate level. To achieve this, we create personalized education programs for each student based on their needs and schedule. Our programs focus on solid training in fundamental math skills and help students develop the intuition needed to solve complex problems. We encourage creativity and emphasize quality over speed. We guide students who excel in math to participate in competitions such as AMC 8, MathCounts, AMC 10, AMC 12, AIME, and USA(J)MO, and to explore research projects in applied mathematics and data science. Dr. Xue also teaches a range of college-level math topics, mentors undergraduate and graduate students in academic and career development, and provides training and support for student teachers. About the Director: Dr. Chuan Xue attended Peking University, where she earned her BS in Computational Mathematics. Her time at PKU was transformative, providing invaluable learning experiences from both teachers and peers. She discovered her passion for applying mathematics to biological problems during graduate school at the University of Minnesota and continued this journey as a postdoc and professor at the Ohio State University and University of Minnesota. She spent over 10 years at the Mathematical Biosciences Institute at OSU, the first NSF-funded center for math biology in the US, and won the PECASE award from the White House. Her former students and postdocs have worked at leading organizations such as Pfizer, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, or as professors at institutions such as Pomona College, Purdue University, UC Riverside, and Renmin University in China. Recently, inspired by her children’s education, Dr. Xue has started mentoring K-12 students in math and research.
