DrawNear's practices give simple steps to follow and story models to imitate and inspire; the apps' mentored-guided sessions make it easy to begin using the practices. Life's problems are complicated. They're caused by so many things: body chemistry, stressful jobs, troubling circumstances, other people, the uncertainty of the future. That's why we try to treat them in so many ways—with drugs, therapy, exercise, meditation, etc. Despite our best efforts, we can still be depressed, anxious and confused. We're only human, with human limitations. Only God can get to the heart of our complex problems. DrawNear takes practices from the Bible, each one connecting us with God so that our burdens can become God's burdens. Each practice includes a set of simple, straightforward steps, as well as entertaining and inspiring stories to illustrate someone using the practice. In addition, the app offers numerous sessions guided by mentors, each deeply grounded and experienced in using the practices.
