About Dream Academy LA INC

Dream Academy LA is a place where kids come to learn of their endless potential. We guide underrepresented youth toward their purpose, helping them become confident, compassionate individuals who know they can make a difference in the world. Our D.R.E.A.M. approach—Developing Real Effort Achieves More—turns doubts into beliefs, dreams into actions, and challenges into opportunities. Each of our programs is designed to lift young people up. Our Youth Mentorship Basketball League (YMBL) combines basketball training with life skills and mental wellness support. We’re proud to say that 87% of our participants have reported better mental health since joining. Our Performing Arts Camp gives young people a chance to express themselves through music, dance, and poetry, all while nurturing their creativity and self-esteem. And our 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament is a celebration of community—where kids can come along to compete and connect with others. Throughout every program, we bring in motivational speakers and host workshops that leave kids feeling valued and motivated to go after their dreams. In the future, we’re committed to broadening access to these life-changing youth programs. Our vision includes building a state-of-the-art community center where young people can engage in sports, arts, and mental wellness year-round. We’re also working on scholarships, new partnerships, and career readiness initiatives to help even more youth thrive in all areas of life. This includes building strong partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community leaders so that our programs have the widest possible reach.
