About Dress for Success Lexington

Dress for Success Lexington, an affiliate of Dress for Success, is a non-profit organization that seeks to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help them thrive in work and in life. In just three and a half years since we opened our doors, with the help of our wonderful volunteers, Dress for Success Lexington has served over 550 clients through our Suiting program, Career Center and in our workshops! Newly located at 1165 Centre Parkway, Suite 100, Dress for Success Lexington serves women in the Lexington area by referral from the over 30 community agencies with which we have partnered. The women we serve have ranged in age from 16-72 and come in a variety of sizes, with very diverse backgrounds. “Sometimes in life, due to circumstances beyond my control, I have felt hopeless. Your kindness, professionalism and genuine helpful attitude with me have gone a long way toward eliminating those feelings. You have given me that most valuable of commodities, HOPE and I thank you.” At Dress for Success Lexington, we strive to build positive relationships with our clients. The previous quote was part of a handwritten note we recently received from one of our clients. It speaks to the heart of what we try to do every day – to empower the women we serve to be all that they can be, and thrive in both work and life. With your help, we will be able to serve more women who need a helping hand on their way to providing a sustainable income for their family. At the end of the day, in addition to providing clothing and career development tools, Dress for Success Lexington aims to empower our clients by providing two of the most important things a woman needs when entering the work force - confidence and support.
