About Dripping Springs Hometown Missions
Since 2010, Hometown Missions has assisted well over a hundred neighbors in the Dripping Springs area. We are a mostly volunteer non-profit, with one paid staff that started May 2022, and we rely on the resources of our community. We know there will always be a need in Afghanistan, Africa, Haiti, and areas hit by calamity. Our Mission: Seeking to be the hands and feet of Jesus, Hometown Missions brings the local community together to build and repair homes, and inspire hope. Our Vision: Every Dripping Springs neighbor has a safe and healthy place to live. It's hard to believe but in the Dripping Springs area there are families who live below the poverty level. Drive some of the back roads or streets you pass each day, and you’ll see for yourself. We have families in need right here in our backyard. Hometown Missions believes safe, healthy housing is a basic need and the launching point for education and success. Hometown Missions is a 501c3 non-profit. Hometown Missions created and launched a special program called Home In A Month. It brings the whole community together to promote love, health, and stability through a new home for a Dripping Springs neighbor. As ambitious as this sounds, Home in a Month is a project designed to build an entire home for a family in our community in just one month. Not only is this a huge event for our area, but something everyone in the community can become involved in. We need four things to accomplish this task: 1.) Prayers for the community, volunteers, and homeowners 2.) Partnerships with the churches in the community 3.) Volunteers to participate in many levels of the project process 4.) Generosity via donations of money and supplies. Stay tuned for build details and forthcoming fundraisers. Are you looking for a way to get involved, get engaged in your community? Donate your time and resources in your own backyard!
