About Drive
Drive is a registered charity that has been established for over twenty years. Drive was originally set up to provide transport services for people with disabilities within the Rhondda and Taff Ely districts of the former Mid Glamorgan. However, Drive’s Management Board took the decision in the mid 1980’s to expand the organisation's brief, in order to assist in the achievement of the aims spelt out in the All Wales Strategy. Drive provides services for people in accordance with its mission statement, which states that: “Drive enables people with disabilities to lead full and valued lives.” Drive considers itself to be a ‘values’ led organisation that is able to operate in a business like manner. The organisation has a clear Policy & Procedure framework that is based upon these principles.
