DRO is engaged in the development of improved biotherapy treatments by providing the industry and research groups with technologies and services that support the advance of biotherapy. DRO BIOSYSTEMS is a privately held company, located in San Sebastian, Northern Spain, which operates in the bioprocess sector. DRO offers licensing of proprietary technologies and processes for the production of biologicals. Research and production facilities are located within San Sebastian Technology Park. These facilities have been designed and conditioned according to cGMP guidelines in order to develop biotherapeutics production processes readily transferable to cGMP production. Process development is further supported by a stringent Quality system that ensures complete, comprehensive and compliant documentation of the process. Besides providing process development services under request, DRO develops proprietary processes with special emphasis to critical issues in the biopharmaceuticals industry such as productivity, biological activity, purity and absence of antibiotics in the production process. Technologies developed by DRO are intentionally conceived to enhance bioprocesses productivity and enable industry and research groups to advance in the development of biotherapy, tackling key issues such as therapeutic cells production. Static Support Bed is a proprietary technology for bioprocesses and therapeutic adherent cells culture highly efficient in contained devices. This technology is based on the substitution of traditional supports with microwires that increase culture surface per volume unit.
