About Drug & Alcohol Services Australia
DASA is a non profit organisation based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. DASA works to minimise the harm associated with the misuse of alcohol and other drugs. Services offered include Residential Withdrawal & Treatment (Therapeutic Community), Sobering Up Shelter, Transitional Program, Independent Living Program and an Outreach Service. DASA provides In Reach services to the Alice Springs Correctional Centre and facilitates the Drink Driver Program for prisoners also. Regular community events are held at various locations to increase our engagement with the community. DASA employs a diverse range of employees with wide ranging qualifications, skills, backgrounds and life experiences to ensure comprehensive and safe care is provided to our clients. DASA services are accessible to people from all walks of life. Our door is open to everyone. DASA has organisational accreditation with the Quality Improvement Council (QIC) and our residential service, Aranda House Therapeutic Community, is registered with the Australasian Therapeutic Communities Association. DASA is funded by the Commonwealth Government (Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet and Department of Health) as well as the Northern Territory Government (Department of Health).
