About Drukātava

In the beginning, there was an idea of digital publishing as an interesting and promising industry. We took the risk to start a business without having access to any financial resources, without any equipment and without any professional experience, albeit with great determination. Having found a person who entrusted the required equipment to us, we began putting our idea into practice in a semi-basement at Lāčplēša iela. At the time, the printing of a book in a single copy was something unheard of! Therefore, the key work involved getting potential customers convinced that it was possible. Nevertheless, the experience gained proved that digital printing significantly lowers the cost of small volume printing. It was of particular importance to educational establishments such as universities and technical colleges. At the same time, an opportunity to publish the books by new authors as well as such pieces of work which nobody else risked to publish presented itself. In fact, any author could make their dream of publishing a book come true! Over the past years, we have published fiction, business and popular science books. Most of all we enjoy the projects involving textbooks and theses, as these publications provide new knowledge. We publish books for foreign publishing houses, i.e. we have become a Latvian producer engaged in exporting. Our technological capabilities enable us to print small printing projects such as prospectuses, business cards, small sized posters and handouts cost-effectively. We print invoices, personalised letters, contracts, notices, reminders ... We put them in envelopes for delivery to the mail service provider. The ISO 9001:2008 quality certificate issued in 2011 supports our commitment to high quality standards.
