About DS Achieve
DS Achieve is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation formed by parents of children with Down Syndrome. We empower professionals and families to enable children and young people with Down Syndrome to fulfil their potential, whatever that may be - and it will be different for every child or young person. Potential may be centred on education, social inclusion, sporting achievement, personal happiness, good health and wellbeing, or other personal family goals. All families' goals are different and our aim is to support those goals in whatever way we can, while having fun and making new friends along the way! Parents and carers are usually the best advocates for their child or young person. We promote being ambitious in future planning, having confidence in the child or young person's abilities, encouraging independence as far as possible and supporting families to build resilience for themselves and their child or young person. We are currently focusing on families in and around Hertfordshire.
