About DSforDS

The principal mission of the project is to push firms using data to adopt ethical behavior in developing data tools and using them. In order to accive this goal, the project aims to develop a "human interpreter" for data languages (SQL(s),Qlik,Python,R,etc.) able to read scripts and map them in an accessible way both for human and machine. The mapping is hence used by two other developed modules : - a tracker able to trace data path through the data tool, from sources to output, and to document it - a data auditor able to compare data before and after each processing step, and to identify issues I aim to build such a tool for of the 3 following reasons : - an ethical development of a data tool is only possible if developers fully know data that their developments will be processing - it is necessary to understand how data are processed in order to correctly use a data tool - no ethical use of a data tool is possible without an ethical development Because I don't think that generalized tools are optimal for such sensitive tasks, my objective is to do ad hoc development for each costumer in order to let my tool evolve according with their real needs. Finally, the project aims to help customers identifying the more adapted consulting firm and/or academic institution for an optimal guidance through data tool development and evolution. The service is sold in the form of modular packages. Customers will be able to make an online assessment of the most suitable package and book them in advance. Moreover, after the last module the user can choose to accept the proposed expertise and be in touch with the proposed partner, or not.
