DSI Renal merged with US Renal Care at the end of 2015 https://www.linkedin.com/company/us-renal-care DSI is a leading provider of dialysis services in the United States to patients suffering from chronic kidney failure, also known as end-stage renal disease, or ESRD. ESRD is the state of advanced kidney impairment that is irreversible and requires routine dialysis treatments or kidney transplantation to sustain life. Dialysis is the removal of toxins, fluids and salt from the blood of ESRD patients by artificial means. DSI commenced operations in 2005 and has grown through organic growth, acquisitions, and development of new clinics, predominantly in our core markets in the United States. We are now the fourth largest for-profit dialysis company in the United States. We own and operate over 100 clinics across 23 states as of December 31, 2008. Our centers offer hemodialysis treatments and other ESRD-related services such as the administration of erythropoietin and other pharmaceuticals, as well as services for home dialysis patients.
