About Duara Innovation Agency
Duara is a brand and a collective that currently unites 10 passionate entrepreneurs from 4 countries and under the same mission: combating textile waste. Our flagship project is “From Waste to Fashion” – a pioneering sustainable fashion design competition, where we created a space for local young designers to transform textile waste from local brands into new designs. The design challenges happen in shopping centres with a live audience aiming to change the way people view textiles and dispose of clothes in Spain and India, next in Germany, Korea and Finland. To increase our impact, we are developing a start-up addressing the staggering volume of textile waste piling into landfills in the Global South, due the exports from the Global North. We not only want to combat environmental pollution but also uplift the lives of people living through textile waste by sustainable employment. Our mission merges innovation and social impact, aiming to transform waste into opportunities.
