Dubai Medical University (DMU), established in 1986 by the visionary philanthropist Haj Saeed Bin Ahmed Al Lootah, has been a pioneer in medical education in the UAE. Originally founded as Dubai Medical College for Girls and Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls, the institution has grown into a comprehensive university with three academic pillars: the College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, and the College of Nursing.
