Max Girombelli, Founder, belongs to a family who played quite a significant role in the fashion history of the last fifty years.His uncle was the one who discovered a young and talented designer named Gianni Versace.His father and his older brother worked in men's fashion, close to other prominent designers as Enrico Coveri, Marithe' François Girbaud, Franco Moschino and Valentino Garavani, just to name a few of them.He grew up using the family company as his "playground". He was paid " cento lire" to take the dust off the jacket's shoulders and he started to admire the tailors who were working on the most beautiful fabrics with passion and love.After many years in the fashion industry, he decided to go back to the roots of the tailoring business. He took over a tailor Shop in Milano first, in New York later and he started his new exciting venture: Duca Sartoria.
