About Duckett Building Services
The principal activities of the business are construction, renovation and building maintenance for private and commercial companies alike. The company currently renovate and repair properties across the North Lancashire and the South Lakes areas, many of which fall into the ‘Heritage’ category and the staff have developed huge experience in this field. Construction activities mainly include house building in the Holme and Milnthorpe areas, built from traditional stone and finished to a high quality. E & E Duckett was established as a joinery business in 1946 by brothers Ernest & Edward following their demobilization from the Armed Forces after World War II. Since then the company has grown and moved into general building and construction, employing trades people for the joinery; bricklaying; groundworks; plastering; plumbing and general building work whilst using sub contractors for other trades. Covering areas from the Lake District to North Yorkshire to Morecambe Bay, vans are regularly seen in and around the areas of Lancaster and Kendal working on town and country properties alike. The company has achieved the Investors in People award and CHAS recognition, whilst also being members of the National Federation of Builders and registered with both the NHBC and Gas Safe.
