About Dunia Health
Dunia Health creates physical products and devices designed to take advantage of widespread mobile access in developing settings. We provide clinicians in low-resource clinics with tools to reduce the number of menial tasks distracting them from patient care. Our products are suitable for low-resource and conflict-afflicted regions, with the ultimate goal of positively affecting strained populations and reducing societal strife through improved health care. Our team had designed and implemented a vaccine tracking and SMS reminder system for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and has served over 1,200 refugees today, returning 86% of those who missed appointments to clinical care. As of May 2014, we are designing SMS support systems for UNICEF and the Sabin Vaccine Institute.
