About Durham University Hong Kong Undergraduate Society

The Durham University Hong Kong Undergraduate Society (Durham UG), founded in 2017, is a self-led student organization registered under the Durham Students' Union. Durham UG's primary objective is to foster inter-university collaboration and provide informal networking opportunities for UK Hong Kong students. Since its inception, Durham UG has built an extensive network through regular social events and collaborations with other universities' Hong Kong and Chinese Societies. Through these collaborations, students have the opportunity to participate in joint-school sporting and social events both in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, enabling them to engage with a vibrant cultural community and expand their network in a welcoming and inclusive environment. By joining Durham UG, students can not only expand their network and engage with a diverse cultural community, but also develop essential skills in interpersonal communication and effective navigation of social situations.
