About Dutch Flower Group
Dutch Flower Group is a unique family company that specializes in the international trade of fresh cutflowers, mixed bouquets, plants and decorative greens. With over 30 individually managed companies, we supply all distribution channels, from importing wholesalers (who supply florists) to the multiple retail sector (including supermarket chains, DIY centers, garden centers and petrol stations). Together we create a happier and greener world. With our mission "Making Life Colourful" we work hard to offer our customers top quality cut flowers, mixed bouquets and/or plants. Every day. Each of our family members has its own customer focus and approach. While every company is individually managed, they each benefit from shared business knowledge. This enhances individual expertise and results in higher standards of quality and service that benefits all of our customers, all over the world. Dutch Flower Group was established on 1 January 1999 as a result of a merger between floral export companies OZ Group (1959), belonging to the Van Zijverden family, and the Van Duijn Groep (1969), belonging to the Van Duijn family. Each subsidiary was a specialist within its own market segment and the merger came about as a result of strengths — to work together, to share knowledge and to approach markets direct. This structure still forms the basis for the current organisation, where specialisation, increases in scale, cost leadership and quality of employees are the differentiating forces. Today, more than 4,800 people work at the Dutch Flower Group companies, "Making life colourful, together". Weekly sales of 75 million stems of cut flowers, 10 million mixed bouquets and 10 million plants result in an annual turnover of € 1,66 billion (2020).
