About e'cco bistro
Owned and operated by chef, restaurateur and cookbook author Philip Johnson, e’cco bistro has been impressing and exciting the Brisbane dining scene for over two decades with its menu of locally sourced produce and thoughtful wine list. Opening in converted tea warehouse in 1995 in the Brisbane CBD, e’cco is one of Brisbane’s best and longest running dining institutions. The menu features honest contemporary food which constantly evolves with a prevailing common thread; to remain true to the original ideas and beliefs. Food that has flavour above all else, but also has visual appeal. Food that hasn’t been played with or fussed over yet delivers maximum appeal on the plate and offers the guest an all-encompassing food and wine experience. In 2018, e’cco bistro moved the entire restaurant to a brand-new site at Haven in Newstead. The two-level venue with a private dining room located on the mezzanine level, is open for lunch and dinner 5 days a week.
