Air2Work Limited have officially changed thier name to E-Innovation (UK) Limited as part of a global recognition process by our parent company in Norway, E Innovation AS. E-Innovation (UK) Limited hire ATEX Zone 1 breathing air supply systems to the oil and gas industry for technicians working in confined spaces or with hazardous materials. The technology was developed in Norway over 4 years ago in response to encouragement from a variety of OPCO's who wanted to reduce the occupational health and safety (OH&S) risks their staff and contractors were exposed to. The risks included the ingestion of oil vapour or other hazardous materials since sampling was infrequent. In some cases, technicians also suffered dehydration and bronchial irritation (cold/dry air asthma). The E Innovation system has been widely used in Norway, where it is recognised as the new ALARP standard in respect of managing these risks. It is also widely recognised as a contributor to faster shut down and turnaround (TAR) activities. It is now establishing a similar profile in the UKCS. The system integrates an oil free compressor, air conditioning system and 24/7 sampling, with a back up air source. Together, they guarantee "hospital quality" air is always delivered. The technology has a very small footprint and is rated for use in ATEX Zone 1, so it can be sited adjacent to any job site. This can reduce SIMOP's challenges and rig up/down time. These all result in increased productive time on any project using BA. The 24/7 air quality sampling alone typically saving around 45 minutes per shift non-productive time (NPT).
