About E.L.I.'s House
Women and their children who have experienced trauma live in our residential community for three years, rent-free. With basic needs like shelter, food, and clothing provided for, residents are able to focus on healing. Living together in a home develops relational skills and provides a supportive community of peers. To help them realize their dreams and ensure long-term economic independence, residents are offered education and employment training for their personal and professional development. Survivors choose from many opportunities such as GED certification, college courses, and internship programs. They will leave our program with dreams for their futures and goals set to achieve them. Cycles of abuse and poverty are broken, and the women will move forward in life knowing their worth.
