About Earth-Based Institute
Earth-Based Institute is a learning community that has been around since 2004. What drives us is our passion for Nature-Connected Leadership and all the ways it can have a positive effect in the world. Our Vision is to inspire Nature-Connected Leadership through our online and in-person programs in Nature Connection, Leadership, Professional Coaching and Wilderness. All these topics come together in our Nature-Connected Coaching and Transformational Wilderness Guide Certification programs. Our mission across all our services is always centered on inspiring Leadership in our students, but a Nature-Connected Leadership. Where decisions are inspired by an internal sense of connection and knowing. Our Nature-Connected Coach certification program started in 2008. It is recognized by the International Coach Federation for over 315 hours of professional coach education. It is a training like no other. We offer an approach to coaching that blends together the competencies of professional coaching with nature awareness skills, Gestalt therapy, neuroscience, and deep nature connection. What we are most proud of is the level of mentoring and support each student has access to. From extensive business mentoring to mentoring in coaching and guiding skills, as well as personal coaching - all included in the tuition. We also support our alumni to develop their careers through ongoing mentoring and community events. This line of work is a nonclinical and non-pathological approach. It’s about guiding and supporting our clients to connect their strengths and leadership through a powerful collaboration with nature. All of our programs are experiential. This means you learn through direct experience and personal practice. In addition to our coaching program, we offer direct coaching, as well as courses in leadership, wilderness quests, business development, and personal transformation.
