About Earth First Robotics
My name is Shane Granger and I am the founder of Earth First Robotics. EFR is a bootstrap start-up with the goal of making Earth better for Everyone. I’ve spent most of my career in real estate development. My specialty was surface water and wastewater management. In the mid 2000’s I earned certifications in Residential On-site Wastewater System Design, Surface Water Management, Soil Science, and Alternative Energy Production and Storage from North Carolina State University. In 2018 I entered Engineering/Design with Central Carolina Technical College and dove into Autocad, Inventor, and Solidworks. While there, I was the Chief Systems Engineer of the winning team in the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars challenge (NCAS). Aerospace and robotics have been prevalent in my optics since. One day not long ago, my nephew noticed the amount of work I was doing and asked, “Why don’t more people put that much effort into fixing the problems here?”. Wow!! That simple question opened my eyes. We have drinking water infiltrated with contaminants. We have bio-contaminated recreational waters. Consumption of several local fish has been limited. These issues are global. Earth First Robotics is tasked with the clean-up of our planet and we’re starting with the water.
