About Earth Wrights

Earth Wrights was started by Mike Jones and Mark Renouard with the aim of bringing children into contact with nature while playing in beautifully designed and built natural play areas. We are a pioneering company specialising in the design and build of inspirational play spaces and equipment. We work from our straw bale and timber workshop in the woods of Dartington in Devon and most of our team are parents who are committed to giving kids the great play opportunities we experienced when we were young. We have been doing this for over 30 years now, working with the likes of the National Trust, the Eden Project, local authorities and councils, nurseries, community groups and schools on everything from large town centre parks to one off mud kitchen units. We believe that kids (and adults!) deserve better than the commonplace metal and plastic play areas, so we design with an areas surroundings in mind, using natural and sustainable materials to bring nature back into play, creating magical spaces that kids, parents and the wider community will cherish.
