About Earthtwine
We are on a mission to help growers support their crops the eco way. Earthtwine is a range of biodegradable and compostable support twines and clips for growers and farmers. Our products are developed and manufactured in New Zealand where we work closely with growers to ensure that our products meet their functional requirements while also giving them options for novel products that are respectful to the environment in general, but especially our precious soil. All our products breakdown into CO2, H20 and biomass through either composting or the microbes in healthy soil (depending on the type of product) offering an alternative to traditional plastic options. We do not follow a one-size-fits-all approach and develop our twines to be environment specific. That means that our indoor twines are developed for greenhouses and protected cropping environments. Outdoor twines are developed to withstand the environmental conditions that open field crops are exposed to. Earthtwine Terra, the newest edition to the range, was specifically developed for growers who prefer a biodegradable twine but without having to rely on hot composting at the end of its life. Terra biodegrades in ambient temperatures through microbial activity in healthy soil. This is a gamechanger particularly for kiwifruit growers.
