Founded in Vienna, Austria in 2013, East meets West (EmW) is an International Network of LGBTIQ professionals aiming to increase the social acceptance of LGBTIQ people in Central & Eastern Europe. The East meets West brand has two pillars - Social and Business. ★ East meets West Business is a facilitator of business awareness and experiences among a professional European LGBTIQ Community by supporting, in a broader sense, LGBTIQ linked, small business set-ups. It is the place for the creation of awareness that LGBTIQ people can be successful entrepreneurs and become role models inside and outside the LGBTI community. ★ East meets West Social has a catalyst function in the LGBTIQ organisational ecosystem by connecting NGOs, diplomatic representatives, officials, corporate players, entrepreneurs and other inspiring personalities.
