FOUNDING TEAM Josh Garratt, Co-founder of Southern Angels and recipient of the 2023 Australian Angel Investor of the Year award, has an impressive track record of facilitating investment, driving commercialisation and nurturing early-stage tech companies. Co-founder JD Sheard was recognised under the global talent program for his exceptional achievements internationally and relocated to Adelaide in 2021. Here, he founded Virtca Capital and executed his first fund (‘Fund 0’), deploying $3 million into early-stage companies, marking a strategic foray into fostering innovation in Australia.
