About Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA)
The Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA) was founded in approximately 1920 and has evolved to become the governing body of the game in the Eastern Suburbs. The Eastern Suburbs Football Association is responsible for all regulatory aspects of the game of football in Eastern Suburbs and is subordinate to Football NSW. Its activities are many and varied and include the following: What ESFA Does; - Promoting the development of the game amongst all ages, backgrounds and abilities in terms of participation and quality. This also involves promoting the availability of the sport to the greatest possible number of people. - Regulating the game on and off the field of play through the "Laws of the Game", “Constitution”, “By-Laws” and the "Rules and Regulations” of the Association". - Sanctioning, either directly or indirectly, matches, and competitions played in the Eastern Suburbs - Overseeing the administration of the disciplinary system, which is applicable to all participants in the game (each club, player, competition, match official and any other person involved in the game in the Eastern Suburbs is bound by the Rules). - Organising a number of men’s, women’s and junior (boys and girls) competitions as well as the participation of the Eastern Suburbs Football Association representative teams (11 and 12 boys) in state based matches administered by Football NSW.
