About EastSide Charter School

EastSide Charter School is a tuition-free K–8 public charter school located in Wilmington, Delaware. Our mission is to prepare students—especially those from under-resourced communities—for academic excellence, leadership, and lifelong success. At EastSide, we believe every child can achieve at high levels when given the right support, resources, and opportunities. With a focus on STEM education, character development, and high school readiness, we cultivate a learning environment where scholars are inspired to dream big and empowered to achieve more. We’re proud to be home to the Chemours Community STEM Hub, a first-of-its-kind facility that serves not only EastSide students but also local professionals, educators, and businesses through innovative programming and event space. This hub strengthens community collaboration and expands access to science and technology education across Wilmington. Our innovative offerings also include the APEX Honors Program, Delaware’s only public charter partnership with Tower Hill, Wilmington Friends, and Sanford School—connecting our scholars to high-performing high schools and scholarship pathways. From coding and drones to leadership and literacy, EastSide is redefining what's possible for students in Wilmington—and showing what’s achievable when a school community comes together with purpose, heart, and vision.
