About Eastwood Whelpton
Eastwood Whelpton is a family-run, sailing holiday specialist since 1959. We’re located in the heart of the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads best sailing waters, making us one of the most desirable and unique places in the UK to take a sailing holiday. Whether you’re currently a sailor or not, it’s a fabulous and very safe location for taking to the water for the first time and yet experienced sailors return time after time for the challenge and fun of close quarters sailing. Whatever your previous experience this is really the best way to see the magnificent Norfolk Broads – the UK’s largest and most important wetland area. We offer short breaks and week-long sailing holidays on our fleet of traditional Broads river yachts and modern yachts – more information on holidays – and through our RYA accredited Norfolk Broads School of Sailing we are able to offer a selection of training courses ideal for complete beginners through to those who wish to brush-up their skills before going on a flotilla holiday. Alternatively, we can offer taster sessions or specific training day courses using our 1923 Waveney One Design Racing Half Decker. As a business, we are passionate about getting young people onto the water and experiencing all that the Norfolk Broads has to offer. Our fleet comprises of traditional and more modern bermudan sailing yachts for bareboat or fully skippered charter. Based at Upton Yacht Station we are ideally situated in the centre of the network of rivers and lakes that make up the Broads National Park. We pride ourselves on having the best turned-out charter yachts on the Broads thanks to our dedicated team. For over 50 years, Anne and Tim Whelpton perfected Norfolk Broads sailing in a blooming business, with many customers coming back for more year after year. In 2016, Anne handed on the business to Andy & Annie Hamilton, passionate Broads sailors who have been customers and friends of Eastwood Whelpton for many years.
