Under the direction of Lauren Muhlheim, Psy.D., Clinical Psychologist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, we offer a range of coordinated services, including psychotherapy, nutrition counseling, and yoga and movement, all in one convenient location. Our specialty is in the provision of evidence-based treatment for adolescents and adults with eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Other Specified Eating Disorder (OSFED; formerly known as EDNOS or Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified). We also treat anxiety and depression. We are committed to the treatment of eating disorders in people of all ages, genders, and ethnicities. We provide state-of-the-art empirically validated treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Maudsley Family Based Treatment (FBT). Dr. Muhlheim is the only FBT-certified therapist in Los Angeles County. We also provide CBT psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, body image, and similar issues. Eating disorders are complicated and dangerous illnesses. Our clients benefit from our team approach and our clinicians frequently collaborate with other professionals including internists, pediatricians, and psychiatrists.
