Food literacy is about understanding food’s impact on people and how food connects to each aspect of our daily lives. It is a lens for understanding how food can improve our personal, planetary, and community well-being. EATucation is a movement that empowers tamariki to be the seeds of change in their community by providing the skills for success at each step of the way. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝗔𝗧𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀 EATucation is made by teachers for teachers. Our resources are organised into themed units tailored to seasonal produce and 8 curriculum phases: Infant, Toddler, Young Child, Years 0-3, 4-6, 7-8, 9-10, and NCEA. They are delivered to teachers through a simple-to-use Online Learning Platform where teachers access tamariki workbooks and engaging video content that brings the wide world of food into classrooms and connects tamariki to industries, ingredients, & culinary creativity from around Aotearoa, all while developing their understanding of sustainable food practices.
