About Eco Board Challenge by projectBLUE
The mission of the Eco Board Challenge (EBC) is to inspire and support new methods of surfboard construction which represent the surfing community’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship. The EBC is a challenge to the world surf community (surfers, shapers, industry) to reconsider their most basic equipment, the surfboard, and be pro-active in the quest to source better materials and develop new solutions and methods which maintain the standard of performance surfers expect from modern technology, while eliminating the negative effects surfboards have on the health of our environment.
