At Eco Crops Ltd, we work with landowners, farmers and energy companies alike to grow and source sustainable, high-quality wood biomass for both small-scale boilers and large-scale heating plants, animal bedding and various low carbon wood based products. We help connect companies with growers to identify and implement green supply chains and grower groups for end clients; providing an effective and sustainable source of energy while giving a source of income for local farmers. As we establish long-term supply chain partnerships, growers will receive the knowledge and oversight needed for a successful harvest with good yields and quality products for end-market requirements. We only use a combination of tried and tested perennial wood crops to produce good quality wood chips with all the many long-lasting environmental, carbon and local community benefits. Biodiversity net gain and natural flood management , water quality are the bi-products for growing these wood based crops. Specialising in all wood based crops like Short Rotation Coppice (SRC) willow wood crops, SRC poplar and Short Rotation Forestry (SRF), woodland management we can provide both practical advice and hands-on support, from land preparation, project management and planting, harvesting machinery supply to honest and independent advice, woodchip, logs, round wood, briquettes/ heat logs , local supply chains, information and guidance to RHI, BSL, Woodsure & Ready to burn compliance and also help uncover the myths and misunderstandings of growing perennial crops.
