About Eco Shield

We are EcoShield, an innovative company that seeks to rid the world of its most elusive contaminant, microplastics. Its harmful effects — tissue damage, digestion problems, etc. — are recognized internationally. Our mission is to clean the water of PET plastics using a cutting-edge innovation: the enzyme capable of breaking down PET plastics into simpler more digestible monomers. Inspired by the production of lactose-free products, we came up with AquaBeads, little algae beads with PETase adsorbed to their surface. This way our fresh idea helps purify the water both domestically – house plants, water filters – and industrially – animal breeding, farming, and cosmetics.
