ecoblaq™ is not a paint - there are no pigments and top layer added; no binder, no fillers, no toxic chemicals, no plastics. ecoblaq™ is a molecule manipulation wood colouring method, based on a non-toxic reaction in the wood fibers. ecoblaq™ properties: - No toxic chemicals. - No plastics or other petrochemicals. - Wood in black, brown, grey, yellow, green colours - plus more colours in development. - Visible wood structure, providing an organic look and feel. - Lightfast properties. - Durable, Martindale test up to 100,000 rubs. - Product can be repaired, re-used, re-cycled, up-cycled. - Added production value for clients by converting waste wood (due to splints, fungus, colour differences etc.) into a profitable production of organic coloured wood products. Lacquered wood is classified as toxic waste – the only safe way to get rid of it is to burn it, releasing all the captured CO2 and toxins into the atmosphere, and into our air and soil. In an original tree life, wood dies and starts to rot and takes the CO2 with it into the ground. An ecoblaq™ treated furniture can be left to rot without causing environmental harm to the environment. We prefer designs made to last – and the ecoblaq™ treatment will last with it. Most paint and lacquer contain toxic ingredients such as pigments, binders, organic solvents, heavy metals, but not least petrochemicals (plastics).
