Ecological Tourism in Europe - Linking Tourism and Conservation e.V., - Association for Sustainable Tourism (abbreviated to Ö.T.E. - LT&C) is a membership-based NGO with a dedicated board of tourism and conservation experts. The association advocates for sustainable tourism in Europe and worldwide. It supports the goals of national strategies and international conventions in the field of sustainability, biodiversity and tourism, especially the 30x30 goal of the Convention on Biological Diversity. It aims to achieve a balance between the protection and restoration of nature and the social requirements of professionals and residents in tourism regions vis-à-vis tourism demands. In this sense, the association works in particular with tour operators, protected areas, tourism communities, marketing organisations, accommodation providers and tourists. Our vision: We envision a world where tourism is a driving force for nature conservation and community well-being and where key tourism and conservation stakeholders form effective partnerships.
