"Ecology for the Protected Community" is one of the leading companies in Israel in the field of recycling and specializes in providing comprehensive solutions to organizations and businesses for a wide variety of types of electronic, electrical and metal waste (WEEE), while considering the environment and maintaining strict regulatory rules dictated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection. We offer our customers a one stop shop for handling their electronic and electrical waste, including collection, waste sorting, renewal and reuse, separation and dismantling, shredding and destruction, removal and landfill, providing consulting, training and information services. Ecology for the Protected Community is the only social enterprise of its kind in Israel that was established about 16 years ago with a vision and goal to bring about a revolution in Israeli society by connecting the recycling industry with the employment of workers with special needs. Our company is recognized as a rehabilitation enterprise by the Ministry of Welfare and currently employs about 80 employees with special needs who receive special and adapted training in a variety of positions in the field of electronic waste recycling. The company was initiated and founded by Danny Kogan, father of a child with special needs, who leads the project through a social business model that does not aim to maximize profits, but aims to generate recurring investment for the benefit of employees with special needs and to expand the employment of this population.
