3-D modeling is the foundation of our business and the most important tool for communication—both internally amongst our staff and colleagues, as well as externally when communicating with our customers and building partners. We focus on our customers’ and partners’ ambitions for building design and, regardless of whether you are a private customer, a company or public business partner, we maintain your ambition as our top priority throughout the collaboration process. 3-D modeling will be employed in various ways you will experience when entering a project with EddCon. The technical term-of-art for this modeling tool is “BIM”. BIM stands for “Building Information Modeling.” The name signifies that our digital 3-D renderings integrate important and precise design data, including floor volumes, height measurements, etc. All such data can be exported in your preferred measurement units, and, best of all, the 3-D/BIM model equips us to match your expectations and desires for particular geometric aesthetics within the design process. Once our BIM modeling matches your design goals and expectations, we bring in our second heavy-hitter, “VDC.” VDC stands for “Virtual Design and Construction.” Owner/CEO and Chief Consultant of EddCon, Esben Durup Dickenson, is certified in VDC from Stanford University. This qualifies EddCon to use the 3D/BIM model as a support tool to realize your financial and business goals throughout the building process. This aspect of our work focuses on comprehensive project management to realize your goals within your individual time, quality and finance constraints. This is accomplished by interconnecting our 3-D modeling with the time schedules and financial forecasts provided by you.
