About Eddie's
Eddie’s (www.eddies.org.uk) is an award-winning charity based in Waterbeach. We have been supporting people with learning disabilities in Cambridgeshire for over ten years and we used to be part of Cambridgeshire Mencap. Our history spans 70 years. We’re an important, local provider of community services and support to children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and family carers in Cambridgeshire. We aim to help the people we support with increased confidence, more effective social inclusion, improved skills, and reduced financial and social hardship. To achieve this, we offer a wide range of activities which includes: Family support Befriending Arts and craft group Theatre and music workshops Toddler and baby group for children with Down's syndrome Gardening therapy group Training and employment services Hydrotherapy pool Our community-based activities help people with learning disabilities to do the things they enjoy, make new friends and learn new skills.
