The Birth of ECDG, LLC Have you Heard of An Eddy Current in a River? Although you may not know what this is without googling it, I'm sure you've seen one with your own eyes. Let's walk through a quick Earth Science lesson... Eddies are sections of the river that actually move upstream. They are created when the main current flows around an obstruction and as the main flow of water continues downstream, some water backs up onto itself refilling the space left behind the obstacle. For all you non-nature freaks you're probably wondering, "what does this have to do with anything?" I'll tell you... When my husband and I were deciding on a name for our business - we wanted something meaningful, yet clever. My husband grew up boating with his family and since his last name is Eddy, his family decided to name their boat, Eddy's CurrentSea. This boat was their home on the water, where they'd spend many memorable summers together for years. Given that together we like to consider ourselves "upstreamers" in life... at times, going against the grain of "mainstream" culture and paddling our own canoe... we decided to revive the trusted family name and thus, Eddy's CurrentSea Development Group was born. ECDG, LLC is a platform focusing on customized mentorship to help aspiring entrepreneurs learn to diversify their income through developing scalable businesses, establishing a personal growth track and building skill sets in networking and leadership.
