About Eddywhere Cooperative

We are a small family business, a non-profit cooperative that creates visionary, play-based learning experiences that teach the core skills needed to achieve success in life, such as reading, critical thinking, social/emotional skills, self-awareness, reflection, perspective, motivation, empathy, and hope. Unlike most, we do not define “success” for you. We strongly believe that only you, not society, can determine what success means for you. When you learn these core skills, you become empowered to pioneer your own unique path towards a healthy, happy life. At Eddywhere, we give you the tools to forge this road, but we do not provide the blueprints. This journey is never-ending, all the foibles, fumbles, failures, victories, surrenders, hurdles, laughs, and tears just individual cobblestones in this destinationless odyssey we call Education. And no single road is better than another. When kids with no access to quality education are given a real chance to learn these core skills, the rest of their academic journeys become limitless. We aim to even the playing field, so that “access to quality education” is no longer the single glaring barrier between millions of children and success. No matter your circumstances, whether you are a homeless child bouncing between foster homes, a 50-year-old refugee who speaks no English, or a jaded college dropout with crippling debt, we have developed learning experiences that will help you learn these core skills in a fun, relevant, engaging way. All you have to do is start playing. You might join a group and embark on an epic adventure to hunt for a treasured magic amulet. Along the way, you will be learning to read, and you might soon realize that there is a greater treasure to be found. At Eddywhere, we help you discover that learning to read IS the Amulet of Hope that unlocks all the doors of opportunity in your future.
