About Edge Collaborative

Edge Collaborative is a civic incubator, born from the needs we saw while working in local government. Our team tackles challenges of interest to the public good, but with the audacity and innovation of the private sector. Our mission is to incubate and invest in demonstration projects that can build a more participatory, inclusive economy. We do this by helping to turn community partners’ visions and priorities into a project portfolio and a range of innovative public-private-community partnerships. Edge has advanced civic initiatives across workforce development, climate resilience, and community wealth. To bring those visions to life, it deploys capital and expertise alongside community groups, industry, philanthropy and public institutions – to do ‘market building’ for new solutions that expand the boundaries of what is possible when communities demonstrate what our economies can look like. As a civic incubator, we function as part R&D lab, seed investor, and nonprofit. As we identify challenges to tackle, we partner with organizations to design creative, non-traditional solutions to them - and incubate them until they are ready to live on their own. Edge Collaborative is headquartered in the Central Valley of California – catalyzed by the potential of Stockton, where we have begun our work.
