About Edinburgh TV Festival - Supported by Screen Scotland
The Edinburgh TV Festival brings together all parts of the television and digital world to celebrate the creativity, diversity and inspirational talent in our field, and to debate the major issues facing us as an industry. The Festival draws over 2,000 delegates from the world's major networks and production companies. We’ve attracted some of the world’s most influential and exciting figures to take part in the Festival, including: Sir David Attenborough, Charlie Brooker, Michaela Coel, Steve Coogan, Simon Cowell, Russell T. Davies, Rob Delaney, Martin Freeman, Vince Gilligan, Al Gore, Hugh Grant, Sharon Horgan, Cherylee Houston, Gale Anne Hurd, Armando Iannucci, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rupert Murdoch, David Olusoga, Adam Pearson, Ted Sarandos, Louis Theroux, Jack Thorne, Ted Turner and Phoebe Waller-Bridge amongst many others. The Edinburgh TV Festival is wholly owned by The TV Foundation, a charitable organisation with a mission to identify and nurture the next generation of talent, whatever their background. All profits from the Festival go to support our year-round activity: the New Voice Awards and our Talent Schemes – The Network gives brand new entrants a vital first step into the TV and digital industries while Visionaries (formerly known as Ones to Watch) supports those at the early stages of their career. The Festival takes place every August in the heart of Edinburgh festival season.
