Edition was founded in 2008 by the pianist and composer Dave Stapleton on two principles: to share music with a clear message and to do so in a bold way. Today, Edition is a record label sitting at the centre of the global music scene, working with the same values it set out with, almost 15 years ago. Having evolved from a cottage industry and self-releasing artist based label, Edition has built a deep authenticity and bold identity to its work with empathy and passion at its core. Edition exists to amplify its artists’ vision under two distinct labels; Edition Records – a leading, forward thinking and boundary pushing Jazz label.
