About Edmonton Ice Swap
The Edmonton Ice Swap is a local event created for the Hockey/Ringette community. The event is a swap meet that allows for families to buy and sell used equipment in a convenient, one-stop location. This allows for families to save both money and time. Part of the proceeds from the event are being donated to KidSport, which is an organization that provides grants to low income families that would otherwise not be able to afford organized sports. The high cost of gear is often the barrier of entry for families to enroll their children in hockey and ringette, therefore we aim to reduce these costs through the Edmonton Ice Swap. The 2017 Edmonton Ice Swap is sponsored through the Young Edmonton Grants program run by the Edmonton Community Foundation.
