About Educating The Future
Educating The Future (ETF) — is an Australian not-for-profit operating at a grassroots level, seeking community and corporate support to deliver high-quality preschool education in the developing nation of Timor-Leste. As Australia’s second closest neighbour, Timor-Leste should not be worlds apart in terms of our own educational standards. We can help, so we must. Since our registration in 2016 we have successfully supported three remote Timorese communities construct pre-schools. We are working in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Timor-Leste to construct public facilities that educate 100 children per year. We are overseen by a professional Board, have received funding by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and have our tax deductibility.
